Terms of use (closed beta)

Last updated: 20 October 2026 (draft 2)

1. What this is about

DayBlock is a day planner in the browser. During the closed beta, René Huske (see imprint) provides DayBlock free of charge to selected people with an invitation code, in order to improve it together.

2. Account

  • You must be at least 16 years old.
  • You need a valid email address and a secure password. Do not share your password or your recovery key with anyone.
  • Important: your data is end-to-end encrypted. If you lose your password and your recovery key, nobody can restore your data – not even I.

3. Beta means: not finished yet

  • Features may change, be removed or be temporarily unavailable.
  • Despite care, errors may occur. Export your data regularly (Settings › Your data).
  • I welcome feedback. You grant me the right to implement suggestions without remuneration.

4. Fair use

Use DayBlock only for yourself personally and within the law. Do not try to disrupt the service, circumvent limits or access other people’s accounts. During the beta, the storage limit is 20,000 records or 50 MiB per account.

5. Costs and end of the beta

The beta is free. Before the public launch, I will inform you about prices and conditions at least [4 weeks] in advance. You then decide whether to continue; otherwise you can export your data and delete your account.

6. Liability

I am liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. Otherwise, liability for the free beta is excluded to the extent permitted by law. [Wording to be reviewed by a lawyer.]

DayBlock is a planning tool and not a medical device. It does not replace medical or therapeutic advice.

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time in the settings. I may end the beta with reasonable notice or block individual accounts in case of violations.

8. Privacy

How I handle your data is described in the privacy policy.

9. Final provisions

German law applies. Should a provision be invalid, the remaining provisions remain valid.
