Short texts
DayBlock is a day planner from Germany: tasks, appointments and routines become blocks – end-to-end encrypted, kind instead of punishing.
DayBlock turns tasks, appointments and routines into a day of blocks that fits. When the day goes differently, one tap moves the rest. Habits count “11 of 14” instead of streaks. Everything is end-to-end encrypted in the browser – the server in Germany only sees ciphertext. Made by René.
DayBlock is a day planner for anyone whose full head makes planning hard. You just type – “dentist tomorrow 3pm” – and DayBlock turns tasks, appointments and routines into colourful blocks in your day and week. When the day goes differently than planned, one tap moves the rest, and after a break DayBlock brings you back in three steps instead of a mountain of red. Habits count “11 of 14” instead of streaks that drop to zero after one bad day. Mood and energy can be noted in a second; over time DayBlock shows what is good for you – calculated only on your device. Plans to join (moving house, exams, Christmas) land directly in your own day. DayBlock runs in the browser on phone, tablet and computer, can be installed like an app and works offline. Everything is end-to-end encrypted in the browser; the server in Germany only sees ciphertext. René builds DayBlock on his own.

What DayBlock is – and what it is not
- Not a medical device: DayBlock does not diagnose or treat ADHD and promises no cure. It is ADHD-friendly by design, for everyone.
- No AI planner: nothing is sent to an AI.
- No team or project tool: one person, one day.
- No store app yet: DayBlock is installed from the browser.
What DayBlock does
- Day & week: tasks, appointments and routines as blocks in the calendar, just start typing
- Start now: one block is due, DayBlock guides you through it step by step
- Focus together: see how many others are at it right now – no names, no chat
- DayBlock FM: calm sounds for concentrating
- Routines: morning and evening routines with steps
- Habits: “11 of 14” instead of streaks that drop to zero after one bad day
- Mood & energy: over time, see your own typical day
- Journal over years: one square per day, “on this day a year ago”
- Groups: plans to join, e.g. moving house, exams or Christmas
- Notes: park thoughts in an outline and plan them
- People: birthdays and who you have not talked to for a while
- Catch up: back in three steps after a break, without a mountain of red
For creators
- The demo shows DayBlock with Alex's example day – no account and no personal data. Ideal for screen recordings.
- “Day as image” (Share › Image) turns a day into a portrait image 1080 × 1920 for stories, TikTok and Reels. Done items get a tick; with “Busy/free only” titles stay private.
- Please write “DayBlock” as one word and describe the encryption the way it is described here. Real, imperfect days are welcome – that is exactly what DayBlock is built for.
